The task
Occassionally we have a request that isn't always easy to meet. The organisers of the London Film Memorabilia Convention, an event held regularly throughout the year for buyers and sellers of film memorabilia, called us and said, "we have to have radio coverage of the event to get the punters in!"
The solution
We don't usually take on small products such as this but we had a team vote and decided we were up for the challenge. Participating in the event this time was two former 'Bond Girls', Caroline Munro (The Spy Who Loved Me) and Martine Beswick (From Russia With Love and Thunderball). Given their participation and the longevity of the Bond franchise, we put together a Bond themed pitch and offered Caroline up for interviews to promote the event. The team then hit the phones.
The result
Success! The teams contacts with the broadcast media turned up a live ten minute slot with Robert Elms on BBC London, the prime target. The interview was trailed, and the event name checked before the show. Naturally enough Caroline was thoroughly professional, managed to get the event name checked throughout the interview, and gave the event a much needed boost.
