Finnish Embassy - playing games

 

The task

"We've got two weeks, it's just before Christmas, and we need to get the most important UK gaming media in front of Finnish game sector companies." That's the brief that faced us when we were contacted by the Finnish Embassy.

Always up for a challenge, the Babel team used their experience in the gaming sector to illustrate the importance and strength of Finnish companies in gaming. Journalists were invited to an event held at the Nokia Experience House in Soho. They were given the opportuntity to hear from some of the most important companies in gaming - Grey Area (www.greyarealabs.com), Remedy Entertainment (www.remedygames.com) and Supercell (www.supercell.net). 

 

The result

The event proved hugely popular, despite the pressure on journalists' time in the run up to Christmas. Attendence included  journalists from Trusted Reviews, DigitalSpy, IGN UK, Latest Gadgets, Inc Games, EuroGamer and GamesTM. Follow on interviews were held with NowGamer, Bit-Tech , PocketGamer.
